Climate control off the cloud<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>A little while back I came across a custom esphome component for a esp32 or esp8266 based airconditioning\/Climate Wifi interface. A great way to get your Panasonic Climate control off the Panasonic Comfort Cloud and into Home Assistant locally. Repeatedly having to log-in to your app and not not being able to control your Climate unit due to Cloud service outages are common issues. If you do not have one of these interfaces installed, you are likely not able to control your Climate units by anything else then the standard remote control that comes with the unit.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Solution\"><\/span>The Solution:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>There is a solution to both problems. By using a custom <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/DomiStyle\/esphome-panasonic-ac\">esphome module<\/a> it is possible to connect your Panasonic Climate Unit to Home Assistant locally. Remote controlling your Climate unit will be instant and no longer cloud dependant. You then have the option to either connect to the original DNSP-P11 cable and if you want to use it for CN-CNT, you need DIY the cable yourself.<\/span><\/del><\/div>\n<div><del><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Option 2.<\/strong> Buy the module without the DNSK-P11 header and without the CN-CNT cable and DIY yourself. This option doesn&#8217;t really make much sense \ud83d\ude09<\/span><\/del><\/div>\n<div><del><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Option 4.<\/strong> Buy the module without the DNSK-P11 header, and with the custom cable (not soldered) EURO 24,00 (EURO 2,50 for the custom cable). This option makes sense if you are replacing a CZ-TACG1 or if you have no Panasonic Wifi module installed and you are happy to solder the 4 wires to the board yourself.<\/span><\/del><br \/>\n<del><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Option 5.<\/strong> Buy the module with the custom CN-CNT cable attached (soldered) and no DNSK-P11 header, so specifically for the CN-CNT connector. Connect the interface using the <strong>original DNSK-P11 cable<\/strong>. The connector-lip needs to go <strong>downwords<\/strong> in the notch of the PCB, the flat part of the connector <strong>up<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Please be careful<\/strong><\/span> as the pins are tiny.
